Built from the field
The founder
Brandon Showalter started as a paramedic. He then spent more than fifteen years in medical device sales, most recently in thrombectomy and hemostasis across Southern California, working cases alongside the physicians reps are asked to find.
He also trained as a computer engineer, and has spent years building data systems in his own time.
He started Patency to build the tool he wanted in the field: fast, honest about its data, and made for the way reps actually work.
The name
In medicine, patency means a vessel is open and flow is restored. Patency opens the path to the right accounts.
What we believe
Cases, not names.
Targeting should start from the procedures a team sells into.
Show the work.
A number you can’t check is a number you can’t use.
Built for the field.
If a rep won’t open it before a case, it doesn’t matter how good the data is.
Earn trust with data.
Respect every source’s terms, keep patients out of it, and say plainly what’s an estimate.
Where we are
Patency is in active development in San Clemente, California, building with a small group of early teams.
